Pretty as a Picture!

May Brings Photographs to Patterson Memorial Library

Patterson Memorial Library will feature three photographers from the Rural Rembrandt Club this month. The photo’s are of a wide variety of subjects and are very well done.

Darrell Doyscher, a new member of the club, is a local amateur photographer. He is originally from St. Paul, MN. While in junior high school, he was a member of the school photography club, were his love for taking photos started. He and his wife have now resided in Wautoma for the past ten years. Darrell’s love for pictures started at and early age, but a busy life kept this interest on the back burner until he retired. Now he has time to pursue this love. Digital cameras have brought a whole new dimension to Darrell’s hobby. Working with computer and printer, he is putting many different looks to his photos. His picture of chipmunks in a peanut butter jar was on the front cover of the Resorter a couple of weeks ago. This will give you some idea of the great quality of Mr. Doyscher work.

Lynn Kant Sallee has been a member of Rembrandt’s for a few years now. She has been featured at the library in the past. Lynn has enjoyed many successes in past shows and has won many ribbons in recognition of her work. She has never had formal training and is self taught. While she really likes her 35mm Canon Rebel, she likes the ease of her Nikon digital for its smaller size and being able to see the pictures right away. Lynn has many flower pictures on display, some of these flowers will be blooming in gardens soon, but if you can’t wait for spring to get here, come and see the photos. The flowers are in beautiful color and make a person want to inhale their beauty. Lynn is a past secretary of the Rembrandt’s and remains very active in the club.

Verona Morgan, like Lynn, is a self taught amateur photographer that has displayed pictures at the library several times. She has won ribbons and awards at various shows in the area. Her favorite type of pictures feature colors, patterns and shapes. There is a variety of pictures on hand ranging from ducks to colors and patterns. Verona is a past president of the Rembrandt club, and remains active, including setting up displays at the Patterson Memorial Library and writing articles for the Waushara Argus about the shows.
