Selma Glunn is our featured artist for August. Selma's work covers many, many mediums, and is truly beautiful to behold! Her work is exceptional and she was just selected to win Blue RIbbons at the Waushara County Fair for her efforts!
From the artist: "I have been a member of the our local art club, The Rural Rembrandts, for many years. My mother was one of the few people who founded the club in the early 50's. It is still thriving today with many local artists."
"Over the past twenty-five years I have experimented with many different mediums, to include; painting on canvas, gourd art and felt art. My latest passion has been photography. I especially enjoy visiting farmyards where I can capture whimsical photos of the animals. I was recently honored to receive a 1st place with my "Sheep Photo" at the annual Rural Rembrandt Art Show."
The Rural Rembrandts are local artists who get together every month to meet, paint and relax together. For more information contact the Patterson Memorial Library at 920-622-3835. THe Patterson Memorial Library is located at 500 Division St, Wild Rose. Just one block East of Hwy 22.
