Summer Reading Has begun!

School's out and the Summer Reading Program has begun at the library!  We also have EdVest forms with a chance for you to win money for your child's future education, courtesy of the Lords of Lambeau!   As for reading, we don't ask for much, come to a program, read some books, do a craft - win a small prize each week and be entered for the grand prize drawing at the end of summer picnic!

We're also doing some Makerspaces - we'll have some techie ones, plus some good old fashioned ones like learning to sew or quilt - if I can find the volunteer teachers!

We have a great line-up of performers mostly on Thursdays at 1pm, but there are a couple of chanages to time and place- so check out the events calendear here or pick up a list of performers at the library!  We start everything off with the Zinghoppers June 12th, then Storyteller Kay Wheedin arrives to bring stories to life at 1pm June 19th

The last Thursday in June, we've got a special treat from New Mexico!  Bob Kanegis is a mulitlingual Storyteller and will share some Southwestern tales at 2pm!

The week of the fourth of July is a "free week."  If you read and fill out your book log for that week, you'll get an extra prize, but there won't be any performers or Storytime that week.

On July 10, Noelle  will be here with her LIVE animals!  Her show is called ZooZort, and she'll be here to show us wonderful live creatures from all over the world!

I know you love puppets - so on Thurday July 17, Lucy and Friends wil be here!  Lucy's Friends are awesome puppets and will entertain and enlighten you!

The week of July 21 is special.  On Tuesday, the 22nd at 7pm, Bruce Giebink - the Bug Guy will bring his insect friends to show us!  Don't bug out over this amazing show! Bring the whole family!

That is also the week of Wild Rose Days!  We'll have as many friends and children marching in the parade as possible Saturday morning, July 26th, please just come and be a part of our Village's premier celebration!

On that Saturday, there will be 4 performances by 2 performers At Roberts Park!

We'll end up on July 31 at 12:30 for our end of summer picnic down at Roberts Park.  We'll have hot dogs and bbrats, as well as some salad, chips and pop.  We'll have a craft by the 4H, then we'll draw the grand prize winners - we'll have a First, Second and Third Grand Prize!  I think there might be some water fun at Roberts Park on July 31 - so be sure and wear something that can get wet!  In case of rain, we'll still be at the park.
