Ray is the author of Little Hawk and the Lone Wolf. He is a distiguished medal winnner from both WWII and Korea. He was decorated for his bravery flying his F4U Corsair in the battle for Peleliu. The son of a Menomonee Medicine Woman, Ray lived a sparse life, and without meeting his wolf, The Colonel, may not have survived his boyhood.
