Busy November at The Patterson! Check us Out!

The Patterson Memorial Library has a very busy November planned just for YOU!

Thursday, November 8, please come and Meet the Artists that make up the Rural Rembrandts!  These talented folks will be at the library from 6-8 pm to talk about their works, influences, children - grandchildren - whatever!  Refreshments and figer foods will be served, so stop in and say howdy!

November 10 come in with your kids to Create an heirloom  - a hand-carved wooden ornament for your Christmas celebration!  Master Carver Joe FInk returns to the Wild Rose Community Center  Saturday from 1-4 to help teach you how to carve a little something for your tree!  Free!  Sign up at the circulation desk!

November 13-15 come in and try one of our new eReaders - at our eReader Petting Zoo!  Tuesday through Thursday, come in from 11 am to 2 pm to test drive an eReader!  We have 2 nook and 2 Kindles and an ipad mini on the way!  I'll be availabel to help answer any questions, and help you navigate pages, change fonts, etc.!  Free!

Thursday, November 15 from 630-8pm please come to the Inaugural Presentation of Community Movies at the Patterson Memorial Library!  This summer we had a 12 foot by 9 foot screen donated to the community center so we are bringing the tradition of free movies back to Wild Rose for the Winter!  The first film to be shown is BRAVE, from Disney animation.  This is an awesome film about a young girl trying to find her own path, and finding the strength of her family's love along the way!  Rated PG, this is a great family film, but there are a couple of scary parts for really young children!  We'll have popcorn from the new popcorn machine, and of course, it's free to everyone!

LADIES and Gentlemen - HERE'S THE BIG EVENT!!!!!  The Christmas  Ornament, Craft, Bake and Book Sale will be held Saturday, November 17 from 9am - 1 pm!  Those in charge tell me the selection this year for ornaments and other gifts is the biggest they've ever seen!  Add to that the delicious baked goods from our Friends Group, the WIld Rose Women's Club and a nice selection of donated books and Videos and you've got the start of your CHristmas shopping half way done already!

The Library will be closed  for Thanksgiving, Thursday November 22.  Remember to give thanks for what you have!
