Friends and Neighbors come to hear Jerry Apps

What a wonderful night last night (Wdnesday, Sept. 23)!  It was the Autmnal Equinox, and we hosted a book launch for Jerry APps' newest book: Wisconsin Agriculture: a history.  According to the Wisconsin Historical Society Press' official liason, Halley Pucker, we had 75 attendees.  The Friends, Volunteers and Staff of the library did an amazing job of making and setting up the food, and keeping things neat and tidy - I can not thank them enough for their hard work!

Jerry was, as usual, fascinating and eloquent - providing a glimspe through slides of the History of Wisconsin Agriculture  in about an hour!  You can be proud of our state for being number one in cheese production for almost a hundred years!  We are also first in many other areas.

The book is available for sale from the Friends of the Patterson Memorial Library for $35.00.  Copies are signed by Jerry, and all proceeds go to the FPML to benefit library programs.  If you need one shipped, the cost is $40.00 per bookto cover shipping and handling.  Send a check or money order to:  FPML, 500 Division St., Wild Rose, WI  54984.
