Wisconsin Library Association Conference this week!

This week The WLA conference meets in Middleton.  There are over 80 programs and a few of us (Nicole from Wautoma, Linda from Green Lake and myself) are doing a program on "Not Your Momma's Library"  about how e lend ot different items, like cake pans, fishing gear, rubber stamps and the like!

I know the staff is excited to see what new ideas I bring back!  As usual, I have caught a cold for the conference - I can never seem to go there healthy!

Look for new ideas and new programs inthe months to come!

Friends and Neighbors come to hear Jerry Apps

What a wonderful night last night (Wdnesday, Sept. 23)!  It was the Autmnal Equinox, and we hosted a book launch for Jerry APps' newest book: Wisconsin Agriculture: a history.  According to the Wisconsin Historical Society Press' official liason, Halley Pucker, we had 75 attendees.  The Friends, Volunteers and Staff of the library did an amazing job of making and setting up the food, and keeping things neat and tidy - I can not thank them enough for their hard work!
