World Premiere a Resounding Success! A Belated Thank You!

Wednesday night, November 13, was a wonderful celebration of Wild Rose!  The event was a great way to meet and visit with old friends and neighbors, or make new ones!  The estimate of the crowd I heard was 360 people!  We all enjoyed delicious treats, an amazing documentary on Winter on the farm, and of course, Jerry Apps' humor!

New News!

Storytime is a great way to introduce your child to reading, counting, abc's, singing and being part of a group!  It's also a great way to meet other young parents and their children for play dates and just getting to know your neighbors!  Mr. Kent's Storytime is held each Wednesday from 10:30-11:00, then we do a craft, and have a little snack of cookies and milk!

How Important is Reading to Children?

Reading to your child is one of the most important activity you can do together to give them a foot up in life, to help them grow and prosper.  The State of Wsconsin Department of Public Instruction has just released a program called Growing Wisconsin Readers.  This is a simple program with a handout that explains different ages and wich books to read to them, as well as what to look for as you read with your child.  As a parent, Grandparent, babysitter - any kind of caregiver - just take 5 minutes to read a book to your child!
